Soups, sauces, tapenades… Massive recall of canned goods sold in the south of France

The Le Potager Bio brand published this Monday more than twenty recall sheets announcing the lack of waterproofing of some of its products. These jars of soups, spreads and even sauces were sold in Auchan, Carrefour, Intermarché and Coopérative U stores in the Paca region.

Be careful in the jar aisle. Many references from the Le Potager Bio brand are recalled after being sold in the stores of four major brands (Auchan, Intermarché, Carrefour and Coopérative U) in the Paca region. The sheets published on the government Rappel Conso website all mention a lack of sealing of the capsule during packaging.

In the list, we find jars of soups, sauces, or even spreads (eggplant cream, tapenade, onion confit, etc.).

According to the manufacturer, “these products were manufactured and/or stored in conditions that do not provide satisfactory health guarantees. They are therefore likely to present a danger to the health of consumers.”

For all of the products mentioned, the precise points of sale in the region where they were marketed can be found by consulting the recall sheets on a case-by-case basis.

Return to store

All of the references concerned should definitely not be consumed. Products in jars that are leaky can present health risks to consumers.

Consumers in possession of one or more affected references are invited to return them to the stores that distributed these products.

For this recall, it is not specified in what way they will be compensated. Likewise, no recall end date is specified on all of the recall sheets. It is therefore advisable not to delay in contacting the point of sale concerned.
