Monday, November 4, a pop-up medical office will welcome its first patients at 20 rue du Mont Bart, in Voujeaucourt. This opening follows the successive departures of several general practitioners, leaving a void in the municipalities of Voujeaucourt and Bavans, where the two practitioners left their practices at the end of 2023, and one of the doctors still active in Voujeaucourt recently announced his departure to the retirement.
The practice will welcome patients four days a week, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., by appointment, with a young general practitioner to provide consultations, by appointment only. This system aims, beyond the immediate care of patients, to promote the long-term establishment of young doctors in the region. A young doctor will join the team from January 2025, providing one day of consultations per week, and a third doctor is expected in May 2025. These reinforcements should ensure minimum medical coverage for the residents of Voujeaucourt and the communes. neighbors.
“This is the first time that a temporary cabinet has been supported by two municipalities, which are also neighbors. Indeed, rather than acting in competition, Bavans and Voujeaucourt made the choice from the start to combine their resources, with a partnership, which, ultimately, allows the opening of this firm, at the geographical and road junction between the two communes”, communicates the Regional Health Agency (ARS) Burgundy-Franche-Comté, which worked with the municipalities, Health Insurance, the Regional Union of Health Professionals (URPS), and the council of the order of doctors to bring the project to fruition.
