The condom disappears. This is one of the most notable elements of the new prevention campaign launched this Thursday by the Federal Office of Public Health (OFSP) to fight against sexually transmitted infections (STIs). A visual disappearance all the more striking since the condom has accompanied the country’s prevention efforts against HIV since 1987.

“Originally, the safer sex designated HIV prevention strategies, and the condom played an essential place, explains Anne Lévy, director of the OFSP. Now it includes other STIs. This is why the new campaign focuses on personalized protection recommendations and risk-adapted testing.
