Thanks to an assist from Charles De Ketelaere on the first goal, Atalanta qualified for the Europa League final, to the detriment of Marseille. Leverkusen narrowly joins the Italians. In the Conference League, Aston Villa are eliminated.

The other semi-finals of the Europa League and Conference League were held this Thursday. In C3, it was a Red Devil who played a big role in the game, in the person of Charles De Ketelaere.

Assisting on the first goal, the attacking midfielder allowed the Italians to win 3-0 against Marseille, and reach the final of the Europa League. On the other side of the table, a late goal from Mancini, against his side, allowed Bayer Leverkusen to still believe in the treble, before the Germans equalized again at the very end of the match (90+7), via Stanisic, and do not maintain their crazy invincibility.

Leverkusen has not lost in 49 (!) matches. Bayer surpasses the post-war record held by Benfica (48 matches without defeat between December 63 and February 65)

Olympiakos surprises Aston Villa and will play in the Conference League final

In the Conference League, it remained to be seen who would face Fiorentina, who defeated Club Brugge, in the final. In the first leg, Olympiakos did most of the work by winning 2-4 at Aston Villa.

And the trend was confirmed. The Greeks won 2-0, a result which more than allows them to compete in the last stage of the competition. Tielemans was not on the scoresheet, injured.

Atalanta-Leverkusen in the Europa League and Fiorentina-Olympiakos in the Conference League, here are the C3 and C4 finals of this 2023-2024 vintage. As a reminder, the Champions League final will pit Borussia Dortmund against Real Madrid.
