Alexander Levy: “Put myself in a position to win tournaments”

Benjamin Hébert recently told us that it was more difficult to get on the DP World Tour than to keep your card. Do you agree with him?
Completely agree! The Challenge Tour is a circuit that is growing in size. It's getting harder and harder, I find…

Sixteen of the 21 players promoted from 2023 to 2024 on the European Tour have retained their playing rights for 2025. Does this surprise you?
No. And this somehow corroborates what I just said… And then three of them won in 2024 (Manassero, Svensson, Lacroix). Manassero and Svensson are getting on the PGA Tour… It’s increasingly the very high level. On the Challenge Tour, if you don't finish in the top five every week, you don't score points. It trains people to surpass themselves, to be good all the time. And I really like that.

Do you know how many tournaments you will be able to play this season with your category 15?
Normally, apart from Wentworth (BMW PGA Championship) and maybe Dubai (Hero Dubai Desert Classic), I will be able to play everything. In terms of pace, as I have just moved to Dubai, and with many early season tournaments planned in the Middle East, this eliminates a flight. At least. It will therefore be faster for recovery and therefore it gives me the prospect of continuing regularly.
