This is a record prize money that the 60 best players of the year will share during the last tournament of the season on the LPGA Tour. World No. 1, Nelly Korda, Céline Boutier and even the title holder, Amy Yang, will aim for the $4 million in winnings offered to the winner of the CME Group Tour Championship, which takes place in Naples, Florida.
With a total jackpot of $11 million to be shared between 60 players, the CME Group Tour Championship does not beat the “prize money” record for this 2024 season which goes to theUS Women’s Open ($12 million in winnings). But the winner in Naples will be offered the biggest check of the year with 4 million (3.85 million Euros).
Amy Yang will be there for the grand final which she dominated last year by pocketing only $2 million, half as much as the future 2024 winner. Victorious last week with her seventh success of the season, Nelly Korda will be the big favorite this week. Lydia Ko, Hannah Green et Ruoning Yintriple winner on the American circuit in 2024, will be the American's main rivals.
Ranked 16th in the Race, Celine Boutier will also be there. Eighth last week, the French No. 1 is finishing strong a 2024 season that she had started with difficulty. She could play the leading roles in a tournament where she finished in 16th place a year ago.
