Raphaël Caucheteux made his debut in Liqui Moly StarLigue with during the 2004-2005 season. Ironically, this team will become the symbol of his career, where he will experience his greatest moments of glory. On April 12, 2017, during the 21st day against Saran, Caucheteux scored 17 goals, thus establishing his personal record for goals scored in a single match. With a crushing 27-44 victory for Saint-Raphaël, this match remains one of the greatest individual performances of his career on French courts.

At 37, Caucheteux is having the most prolific season of his career. With 202 goals in 29 matches, he demonstrated longevity and efficiency that placed him among the best players of the season.

This Friday evening, Raphaël Caucheteux has just scored his 2500th goal in Liqui Moly StarLigue, during the match against Cesson-. This symbolic milestone, reached after 21 seasons at the highest level, places it even further in the history of French handball.

If one number had to sum up his 21 seasons in Liqui Moly StarLigue, it would be his efficiency. With an impressive 76% success rate on more than 3,300 shots, he racked up goals season after season. This success rate allowed him to be listed among the legends of French handball.

But the story doesn’t end there. Caucheteux is also on the verge of reaching another major milestone: that of 1000 penalties recorded. With 995 successful 7-meter throws to date, he could reach this new record in the coming weeks. No other player in the history of the Liqui Moly StarLigue has achieved such a performance.
