In an interview with France Inter, Emmanuel Macron spoke out on Saturday October 5 in favor of stopping arms deliveries to Israel which are used in the conflict in Gaza.
“I think that today, the priority is that we return to a political solution, that we stop delivering weapons to carry out the fighting in Gaza”he declared during this special program on public service radio dedicated to the French-speaking world.

Emmanuel Macron’s statements did not go unnoticed in Israel. Public opinion, scandalized, believes that the French head of state wants to help Lebanon rather than Israel. For the moment, the Jewish state has not officially reacted.
In this interview carried out as part of the 19th Francophonie summit, Emmanuel Macron also considered that the policy pursued by the government of Benjamin Netanyahu constitutes “ a fault, including for the security of Israel »: « What is happening, and we see it clearly in our public opinions, but we see it in an even more terrible way in the public opinions of the region, it is basically a resentment which is being born, a hatred that is fueled by this. »
