Despite the success of the McLaren team, none of their drivers were elected by the Lesnews pollthe results highlighting an unexpected winner.
Piastri received just three percent of the vote, while Norris finished second with an impressive 36 percent. However, it was Hamilton who won the vote, with 42 percent of the vote, despite one of the worst seasons of his career.
In his final year with Mercedes, Hamilton managed to secure two Grand Prix victories, ending his winning droughtbut finished in seventh place in the Drivers' Championship, behind teammate George Russell.

The 39-year-old pilot heads to Ferrari hoping to renew his quest for a yet-to-be-obtained eighth world title, with his new teammate Charles Leclerc securing third place in our vote.
Leclerc recorded three wins in 2024, his best result tied, and helped get Ferrari back into the title race. He received 12 percent of the vote, while Carlos Sainz received four percent and Russell three percent.
