Ferrari's 2025 F1 car passes FIA crash tests ahead of highly anticipated season.

The prancing horse rushes forward! Ferrari's 2025 Formula 1 contender has successfully passed the FIA's rigorous crash tests, according to Italian media reports. The significant milestone confirms that the Maranello-based team is on track for what promises to be a breakthrough season, with the arrival of seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton adding unprecedented anticipation to the campaign.

A Smooth Start for Ferrari's Journey to 2025

Ferrari's latest machine has undergone rigorous static and dynamic crash tests imposed by the FIA, passing them before Christmas. This accomplishment allows the team to proceed full throttle with its development and testing plans.

The next big checkpoint in Ferrari's roadmap? A highly anticipated debut for Lewis Hamilton in Ferrari red. The Briton, who joins the Scuderia after a historic spell at Mercedes, is expected to test the car at a TPC (Test of Previous Cars) or Pirelli tire test later this month at Ferrari's Fiorano circuit .

All Eyes on Ferrari Presentations in London and Maranello

Before pre-season testing begins, Ferrari plans to unveil its striking 2025 livery at a star-studded event at London's iconic O2 Arena on February 18. The unveiling will be followed by an official presentation of the car in Maranello the following day, giving fans and experts a glimpse of the machine responsible for returning Ferrari to the top.

The Scuderia enters the season with significant momentum following a strong 2024 campaign, finishing just 14 points behind the Constructors' Championship. The team has five race wins and was the top-scoring lineup in the last eight races, signaling its potential to dominate in 2025.

Revolutionary Changes for Championship Push

Determined to reclaim the Constructors' Championship and provide a title-worthy car for Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, Ferrari has promised an entirely new approach for its 2025 challenger. Team principal Frederic Vasseur revealed:
“The car of 2025 will be completely new; I think we will have less than 1% of the parts in common with the 2024 car. It's a different project, but it applies to everyone. »

Key changes apparently include:

  • Front tie rod suspension : Returning to this design for the first time since 2015, Ferrari aims to align with the proven concepts of Red Bull and McLaren.
  • Revised driving position : Moving the pilot's seat further back to optimize weight distribution.
  • Shorter gearbox : Improved packaging and aerodynamic efficiency.

A New Technical Council

The 2025 car marks the first Ferrari machine overseen by Technical Director Loïc Serra, a former Mercedes Performance Director. Serra's collaboration with Hamilton during their days at Mercedes could be a deciding factor in ensuring a seamless integration for the Briton at Ferrari.

Also joining Ferrari from Mercedes, Jerome D'Ambrosio serves as Deputy Team Principal alongside Vasseur. Together, they bring a wealth of experience and innovation to the Scuderia as it seeks to dethrone reigning Constructors' Champion McLaren and rival Red Bull.
