This is certainly one of the most anticipated season launches from the Tifosi, Scuderia Ferrari will unveil its new single-seater for 2025 after the joint launch of F1.
The discipline has decided to organize a joint event to present all of the 2025 single-seaters to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the F1 World Championship. But, some teams will only reveal their livery for the coming year, keeping the privilege of their new car for a dedicated event, as decided by Scuderia Ferrari.
Ferrari will present its 2025 car separately
Ferrari boss Fred Vasseur revealed the date during the Italian team’s annual Christmas media event, held this year at its Fiorano test circuit. This presentation will therefore take place on February 19, the day after the joint presentation of all the teams. He also confirmed that the team will run the 2025 car on February 19, but did not give further details on who will pilot the car, or what form the launch will take.
After this event in Maranello, Ferrari will travel directly to Bahrain for three days of testing, which will begin on February 26 at the Bahrain International Circuit. Lewis Hamilton and new teammate Charles Leclerc will have a day and a half of testing in the desert before the season opener in Melbourne, Australia.
It will certainly be the garage that will capture the attention of all journalists and photographers, Lewis Hamilton leaves the Mercedes fold to drive for the first time in his career with the colors of Maranello. Lewis Hamilton does not know when he will get behind the wheel of a Ferrari for the first time, but Vasseur has confirmed that he will do some testing in a Ferrari car before Bahrain to help him familiarize himself with his new surroundings.
“We will have a few days of testing with TPC (previous car testing) and Pirelli (tire testing) before Bahrain,” Vasseur told F1.com. “It’s a very short period. Ultimately the car launch is on February 19, then we go straight to Bahrain for the first test and to Melbourne.
This means there will be some rush, but I’m not worried at all. Lewis comes with experience. He has spent almost 20 seasons in F1 and he will manage this period perfectly.”
After the Sainz family rolled at Fiorano, Vasseur added: “We know we will have a lot of procedures to learn over these two days, but I think he has enough experience to do it. We will have the advantage of having the simulator. He will obviously be able to do a racing simulation, qualifying and being completely prepared with the steering wheel and the particularities of the race. But honestly, I’m not worried about that. It’s not the biggest challenge.
