Since this weekend, a rumor has suggested that Liberty Media has finally validated Andretti Global's candidacy for 2026, in order to welcome an 11th team. Paddock noises suggest that it would be a Cadillac F1, but with Andretti's staff and factories already established in England.
While we expect news quickly, perhaps even as early as this week, there are signs that the team is preparing for an arrival in Formula 1. The most important of these signs is the arrival of Rob White.
The former director of Renault's engine department, who then became director of operations for Renault and then Alpine, was pleased to join a project which, officially, is still on hold.
“I am pleased to announce that I have just taken up my role as Director of Operations of Andretti Cadillac at Andretti Global” White said, also confirming the presence of General Motors.
“I am very excited to join the team. The first impression has been very impressive with all that has been accomplished by those who came before me. I look forward to the challenge of all that awaits me.”
In addition to this important recruitment, Andretti Global has also published numerous job vacancies on LinkedIn and on specialized sites in England, for its Silverstone infrastructure.
Among the positions available, there are requests for the professions of performance engineer, racing engineer, tire performance engineer, HR director, warehouse operator, buyer, technician, electronic support engineer, aerodynamic engineer or even system designer.
