Vegas, Qatar, Abu Dhabi… Leclerc takes stock of the end of the season

Third in the world championship with 307 points compared to 331 for Landos Norris, second, and 262 for Oscar Piastri, fourth, Charles Leclerc can still look ahead, but must also be wary of what is happening behind. Because with three Grands Prix remaining in the season, the order on the podium is not yet completely established and there could still be changes. As he takes advantage of the last little break before the final sprint and the races in Las Vegas, Qatar and Abu Dhabi, he gave his impressions, first on the American circuit: “For Las Vegas, I have mixed feelings. We were very strong last year. I think our car matches the characteristics of our circuit well“, he explained.

Pessimism for Qatar

He continued by talking about tire management and being optimistic about Abu Dhabi: “In terms of tires, it might be a little more difficult for us to get them to the right temperature. But let's just say I'm more optimistic than pessimistic and I still believe we can do really well in Las Vegas. So Las Vegas and Abu Dhabi are the two races where I think we can do well“, he added, before being more pessimistic about Qatar: “Unfortunately, I think Qatar will be a little more difficult, and it will be more about damage control. But there are still three races left, and hopefully we can make the most of them and then beat McLaren“. The message is clear.
