Let's go for Dry January!

Dry January (or “January Challenge”) is a public health movement inviting, in the form of a challenge, not to consume alcohol during the entire month of January. It was initiated in the United Kingdom in 2013 by the Alcohol Change UK network then introduced in in 2019 by a collective made up of associations and health stakeholders.

Some key figures:

Maison Chavin and the CSA design office have carried out their Chavin-CSA Observatory on the consumption of alcohol-free wines in France and on the French's intention to participate in Dry January 2025. This observatory gives the latest consumption trends, draws the typologies of alcohol-free wine consumers in France and gives indications for monitoring the alcohol-free January challenge.

12% of French people who will participate for the first time in Dry January in January, which will be the sixth edition in France, almost half of non-alcoholic wine consumers who have become so in the last two years… The French are more and more people are opening up to alternatives to alcoholic beverages.

Young consumers are over-represented: 41% of Dry January participants and 55% of non-alcoholic wine consumers are between 18 and 34 years old, an age group which only represents 25% of total consumers.

47% of participants reduced their alcohol consumption after Dry January.

We continue to toast during Dry January with CHAVIN alcohol-free wines:

What are alcohol-free wines? These are wines resulting from alcoholic fermentation then completely dealcoholized by distillation, vacuum evaporation or nanofiltration. The addition of water or exogenous aromas to alcohol-free wines is strictly prohibited and labeling is regulated: alcohol-free wines thus display the words “de-alcoholized” on the label.

White, red and even rosé, the dealcoholized wines of the CHAVIN ZERO range, come from unique know-how combining tradition and innovation: https://shop.pierre-chavin.com/fr/93-chavin-zero

The benefits of alcohol-free with the CHAVIN ZERO range:
Zero insomnia and headaches thanks to better hydration.
Zero exclusion: pregnant women, people recovering or not, alcohol consumers or not, everyone takes part in the festivities.
Zero drunk drivers and a reduction in the risk of accidents for joyful and peaceful celebrations.
Zero excess with 6x fewer calories per glass, no added flavors and always more pleasure!
