Pierre-Henry Basset committed to the development team ofXDS Astana for the 2025 season. He will only have stayed one year with CIC U Atlantique and at only 20 years old, the Breton is getting closer to a great team. He will continue to race in the UCI Continental but could, in the event of good performances with the Kazakh team's reserve, be offered some opportunities with the WorldTour team.

Performances in 2024 highlighted and noted

Trained in VC Pays de Loudéac, Pierre-Henry Basset confirmed last year all the expectations placed on him. The promising 20-year-old rider has taken part in numerous professional races and widely distinguished himself with his prestigious victory in the Plouay Grand Prix. The Costarmorican also finished 2024 with two top 10 finishes overall in the Tour of or the Tour d’Alsace (2.2) or even a 5th place on the Polynormande. His good season allowed him to have many opportunities during the offseason, but ultimately he is the team's reserve XDS Astana which caught his attention. He will continue to race in the third tier of world , but with the intention of standing out in a lineup made up of 16 riders for 2025 where he will be accompanied by Santiago Issue, Gleb Syritsa or French Artem Fofonov.
