After a very complicated year withinINEOS Grenadiers, Steve Cummings had left his position within the British team. And Jayco-AlUla announced that Cummings would be sports director for their training in 2025. After retiring from professional racing in 2019, the 43-year-old has been in the car for four years, guiding riders to results at the highest level and is looking forward to a new chapter in his career with the Australian team.

“I already know a lot of the team members…”
“I am really excited to join the Jayco AlUla team. This team has a strong reputation for professionalism and commitment to success, which aligns with my own values and experiences in sport. declared Cummings. “I look forward to contributing to its continued success, helping all my teammates reach their full potential,” he added.
Cummings will have to evolve in a completely different environment, which he does not understand, on the contrary: “For me, it's more than just joining a team: it's the opportunity to be part of a culture that celebrates growth, resilience and meaningful results. Naturally, thanks to my long career in Cycling, on and off the bike, I already know many of the team members and I can't wait to roll up my sleeves and start working with them.”
