If French amateur Cycling is not necessarily celebrating at the moment, the professionals can boast of having a new representative. Until now under the Dutch flag, the TDT – Unibet Cycling Team, which was playing in ProTeam this season, will change its identity and become French.
“One dream, the Tour de France”
The news was announced this Thursday in a press release shared by the team which will soon be called: Unibet Tietema Rockets. A surprising development which can be explained by the recent acquisition of Kinkred Group, a group to which Unibet notably belongs, by Française des Jeux.
“Each cycling team starts with a single dream, the Tour de France”declares Bas Tietema, former cyclist and co-founder of the team in 2023.
“Our goal is to be the best team for cycling fans around the world to follow. With the new Rockets identity, we are taking a big step forward in creating a sustainable organization and hopefully accelerating our growth as a team”then added the boss of the training.

Unibet Tietema Rockets will therefore become the second French team, alongside TotalEnergies, to reach the second level in the world. As for the French representatives within the squad, there were already three this year (Adrien Maire, Axel Huens and Baptiste Huyet), to which will be added the young Killian Verschuren next season.
