Labous showed herself, Ferrand-Prévot too fair

After attempting an attack in the penultimate lap, Juliette Labous failed to follow the favorites in the last long uphill section. She finally ranked 12th, ahead of Évita Muzic, 26th, who sacrificed herself for her leader, Cédrine Kerbaol, 46th, and Marion Bunel, 57th. The other French runners were dropped from mid-race, including the Olympic champion of MTB Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, who was making her comeback on the road after three years of absence and ended up giving up, like Jade Wiel and Léa Curinier.
