“The Moroccan futsal selection is among the best in the world” – Le7tv.ma

Jorge Braz, the coach of the Portuguese national futsal team, was full of praise for the Moroccan selection. Following his team’s victory against Tajikistan (3-2) this Thursday in Tashkent, Braz described Morocco as “one of the best futsal teams in the world at the moment”. This comment comes as the two nations prepare to face each other in the last match of Group E of the 2024 World Cup, after having both qualified for the round of 16.

“I speak regularly with Hicham Dguig, the coach of the Moroccan team. What he has accomplished with this selection is simply impressive,” said Braz, praising the remarkable journey of the Atlas Lions. The Portuguese technician expressed deep admiration for the Moroccan selection, in particular for its personality, its audacity and its style of play. “This team takes calculated risks on the pitch and plays with great determination. I particularly appreciate the work done during the last African Cup, which Morocco brilliantly won. »

Braz also highlighted the meteoric evolution of Moroccan futsal, believing that the selection led by Dguig is one of the favorites to win the World Cup. “I have great esteem for the development of futsal in Morocco, and I think this team has everything to claim the world title. »

Regarding the upcoming match against the Atlas Lions, Braz expects a difficult encounter, despite the qualification of both teams already assured for the next round. “The match against Morocco will not be an easy affair. At the last World Cup, we finished in a draw (3-3 in 2021 in Lithuania), and I expect an equally hard-fought confrontation this time around. »

The Moroccan selection, which has shone on the African and international scene in recent years, continues to establish itself as a major player in world futsal. The respect and admiration expressed by Jorge Braz, a key figure in futsal, clearly demonstrates this.
