A story worthy of a scary thriller. On January 22, Patrick O’Hara, a 72-year-old environmental analyst, responded favorably to the request of a home nurse to carry out his Covid-19 vaccine booster. But his life “completely changed that day”. “I remember when the needle went into my arm I felt instant, excruciating pain. I had never felt anything so painful in my life. I immediately thought something was wrong,” he told the Newcastle court, reports the “Daily Mail”.
The next day, the man suffered severe pain in his arm. The latter was covered in burns, blisters and starting to discolor in places. Patrick O’Hara was hospitalized and doctors diagnosed him with necrosis of his left arm caused by a flesh-eating insect. The septuagenarian had to undergo several operations and finally had his arm amputated, before spending five long weeks in intensive care. Arsenic and mercury having been found in large quantities in his body, an investigation was opened.
