Cirque du Soleil launches innovative digital at-home experience

The project will have as a backdrop the show “Kurios – Cabinet of Curiosities” presented last year in Knokke and Brussels.

Cirque du Soleil will soon offer, in a world premiere in Belgium, an innovative digital experience at home, combining art, technology and interactivity, the company announced Thursday in a press release. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Cirque du Soleil, like other players in the entertainment industry, offered different digital versions of its shows. “Given the unexpected success of this digital offering, the Quebec company has decided to entrust Imagien, a Swedish production company specializing in the recording of shows, with the creation of a unique digital project”explains the troop.

Filmed in Brussels in 2023 with cutting-edge multi-camera technology, this extraordinary project will allow, from a television combined with a tablet or smartphone, to explore the show in a personalized and interactive way. The experience will go so far as to offer spectators the opportunity to discover the backstage of the show in the very heart of the famous Grand Chapiteau or to interact with the artists. This new offering in a unique format will be offered in two sessions on Thursday October 17 and Sunday October 20. Registration for this VOD, at the price of 19 euros, is accessible via www.event.imagien.com/kurios.
