An extraordinary smartphone in every sense of the word
With the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, you have an elegant smartphone that displays an atypical design since you can open it like a book to enjoy a large screen. But, even closed, you have a classic screen, for quick use. In terms of dimensions, it is 158.2 x 67.1 x 16.0 mm when open and 74.6 x 158.2 x 6.4 mm when closed. On the other hand, it weighs 253 g, which is a little heavier than average, but it is totally justified with its size.
The screen, then: let’s talk about it. You have a 6.2″ exterior screen, fully functional and usable as is. Then, when you open the smartphone, you have a 7.6″ panel. Note that both are OLED, with adaptive refreshing between 48 and 120 Hz. The screen fold feels a little under your finger if you run it over it, but you don’t see it when watching your media;
It particularly shines in the photos
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 does not bring many new features compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 4. However, it remains particularly efficient thanks to its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, a model unveiled at the end of 2022 which began to equip phones with from 2023. On the model presented here, you also benefit from 12 GB of RAM and 1 TB of memory, enough to please you, even with gaming, even if the screen ratio is not always good adapted.

On the other hand, the small downside is the autonomy: it will last you a short day if you are not too busy, especially if you always use the dual screen. If you settle for the external screen, it lasts longer, but that would deprive you of the main appeal of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5.
