Replacing Franck Robine who joined the cabinet of Bruno Retailleau, Minister of the Interior, Paul Mourier was appointed Prefect of Côte-d’Or and Burgundy-Franche-Comté this Friday.

The Côte-d’Or department and the Burgundy-Franche-Comté region have a new Prefect: Paul Mourier. Close to Michel Barnier, the senior civil servant has extensive experience in local authorities. Former Prefect of Lozère (2005-2007), Cantal (2007-2010) and (2010-2012), he was also chief of staff of the current Prime Minister when he was president of the General Council of Savoy ( 1984-1987), secretary general of the Organizing Committee for the Albertville Olympic Games (1987-1991), and general director of services of the General Council of La Charente (1994-2005), of the Departmental Council of Haute-Savoie ( 2013-2016), the Regional Council of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur (2016-2018) and the Métropole du Grand (2018-2024).

Paul Mourier replaces Franck Robine, appointed chief of staff to Minister of the Interior Bruno Retailleau (follow the link).
