Do I have to self-isolate if I tested positive for Covid?

Since 1is February 2023, isolation for people who test positive is no longer mandatory and Health Insurance no longer contacts people who test positive or their contact cases as part of the contact tracing. However, health insurance reminds us, it is strongly recommended that people who test positive isolate themselves and avoid contact with vulnerable people. The same goes for people who have been exposed to a contagious person. Likewise, health insurance recommends respecting the famous barrier gestures, but there is no legal obligation, in particular to wear a mask.

What rules to follow in the workplace?

The company health protocol ended in March 2022. Wearing a mask and social distancing are not obligatory; but here too, compliance with hygiene rules (hand washing, cleaning of surfaces and ventilation of premises) remains recommended.

Am I obliged to telework (and my employer obliged to accept that I telework)?

Here too, teleworking is no longer compulsory but remains recommended. So you don’t have to telework and your employer doesn’t have to accept if you offer it, but if it’s possible, it’s better for everyone.

Can I have a stop for Covid?

Yes, but here too it is no longer automatic and compensation without a waiting period has ended since February 1, 2023. But in the event of a positive test, and if your state of health does not allow you to work, your doctor can of course always prescribe you a sick leave.

What should I do if I am in contact?

Here too no more obligation, but recommendations. While waiting to be tested, respect barrier gestures and wear a mask. It is also advisable to avoid contact with fragile and at-risk people. Please note: as infected people are no longer required to isolate themselves, contact cases will therefore not be notified by Health Insurance as part of contact tracing.
