Friday October 4 at 6:30 p.m., the Arudy Media Library offers a meeting with Hervé Le Corre. On this occasion, the master of the French noir novel will present his latest work “Qui après nous vivrez”. The astonishment faced with Covid-19 and the deserted streets of spring 2020 pushed the writer to deliver his vision of the future.

This fifteenth opus represents a novel of anticipation which, at the end of the 21st centurye century, saw the collapse of the French electricity network, causing a riot more violent than the others.

Three generations later, in a world in which all advanced technology has disappeared, a group of people have found makeshift shelter in a country house, but looters will force them to flee. Then begins an epic close to the western, the challenge of which is to survive every day.

A big name in noir novels

Professor of literature in a college in Bègles in , Hervé Le Corre started out in literature late in life. He published at the age of 30 and enjoyed immediate success. He entered the Série noire collection, in 1990, through the front door with “The Pain of the Dead”.

His writing, the choice of his characters, the rather dark atmosphere of his books place him among the darkest French authors. His novels have won numerous awards.

Free meeting, all public, at the Les Arcades media library, place de l’Hôtel-de-Ville in Arudy. Additional information on 05 59 05 99 44.
