(Berlin) German activists claimed Thursday to have projected Elon Musk’s controversial salute on his Tesla factory near Berlin to denounce the gesture interpreted by some as a Nazi salute.

“We want to organize the destruction of Elon Musk in an artistic way,” Philipp Ruch, a leader of the “Center for Political Beauty” (ZPS) collective, told AFP.

The projection also shows the word “Heil” next to the illuminated sign of the electric car factory, so as to form the expression “Heil Tesla”, in reference to the Hitler salute.

He also called Social Democratic Chancellor Olaf Scholz “crazy” and “an incompetent imbecile” and President Frank-Walter Steinmeier a “tyrant”.
Polls credit the AfD with second place with at least 20% of the vote, behind the conservatives.
Accustomed to satirical actions, in 2017 the ZPS created a miniature replica of the Berlin Holocaust memorial, right in front of the house of an AfD official.
Inaugurated in 2022, the Grünheide factory is the electric vehicle manufacturer’s only European “gigafactory”. Tesla did not respond to requests from AFP.
