“When will I see you again, wonderful land?”. Difficult, almost impossible, for any self-respecting French person to take a chairlift during a ski vacation without thinking of good old Jean-Claude Dusse. This January 13, 2025, while the Alpe d’Huez Comedy Film Festival begins, a beautiful tribute to Michel Blanc took place.
For the opening ceremony of the 28th edition of the event, Bertrand Usclat performed the famous song of the “Tanned people go skiing”. Then, on the big screen, the entire room did karaoke. And finally, these are Gérard Jugnot and Marie-Anne Chazel who took the stage.
Michel Blanc, a tribute in song
Members of the Splendid troupe, they were close friends of Michel Blanc who died on October 4. They were already at his funeral, at the Saint-Eustache church in Paris, 3 months ago. Since then, the first has spoken a lot about his friend Pasteur. The second, who shared the life of Christian Clavier, a little less.
In front of the crowd, Gérard Jugnot once again spoke out about their stupidities, from middle school. And to explain: “We were in class together, we were improvising things and the teacher told us: ‘You two, never together again!‘”. “ He was wrong”, he added.
Regarding his sudden death, following anaphylactic shock, the one who compared it to that of Coluche judged: “He had no right to do that… But hey, that’s life”.
For her part, Marie-Anne Chazel began her speech with a slip of the tongue. The actress said: “I think that Gérard, who was a very discreet, very reserved person…”. And Gérard Jugnot took offense: “I’m not dead!”
After this gag, she continued: “Michel would have been extremely surprised, upset, embarrassed because he wasn’t the type to like tributes”.
And Gérard Jugnot completes ironically “I think he would have been very touched because he hated the mountains, he hated skiinghe hated the sea, the countryside…“. A sequence that made the assembly laugh.
A tragic disappearance
Michel Blanc died at the age of 72, on October 4, 2024. On January 13, 2025, his faithful friend Bruno Moynot also had a word for him, at Jordan de Luxe.
Asked about possible prosecutions of Michel Blanc’s family, Bruno Moynot answered very frankly what he thought…
