Paris Hilton announced that it was launching an emergency fund and donating $100,000 (more than 97,000 euros) to help families who had to be evacuated due to the terrible fires ravaging Los Angeles.
Like several other stars, Paris Hilton is mobilizing. The businesswoman and jet-setter announced on Instagram that she was launching an emergency fund to help families forced to leave their homes, following the dramatic fires that have ravaged the city since Tuesday, causing the evacuation of at least 150,000 people.
“As a mom, I can’t imagine the pain and fear of not having a safe place for your babies, so I’m starting an emergency fund through my non-profit “11:11 Media Impact” to support displaced families with young children,” noted Paris Hilton, whose Malibu home was also ravaged by flames, as evidenced by the video shared on Friday January 10 by the star.
Paris Hilton also volunteers
The rich heiress specified that she would personally contribute 100,000 dollars (or more than 97,000 euros) to this fund, before asking for everyone’s support. I am looking for other contributors to do our part,” continues Paris Hilton, explaining that she herself will “volunteer this weekend” in order to “deliver essentials and supplies to evacuation centers”.
“Every dollar makes a difference, and we will ensure that support reaches those who need it most,” concluded the 43-year-old star, who became a mother twice in 2023 of a little boy, Phoenix, and a little girl, London.
Other Hollywood stars have been actively involved in recent days in helping the victims of the fires. Actress Jamie Lee Curtis announced she was donating $1 million. Halle Barry cleaned out her closets to donate her wardrobe to those who lost everything. For her part, Sharon Stone explained that she opened the doors of her house to friends and several families.
