Stéphane Plaza appears this Thursday, January 9, 2025 before the Paris criminal court, accused of repeated violence against two former companionsfacts that he strongly disputes. His lawyers, Carlo Alberto Brusa and Hélène Plumet, had confirmed the presence of their client, and the star host responded to the call. Arriving at 9:30 a.m., he showed up dressed in a blue suit, a white t-shirt, a camel coat, white sneakers, a backpack and files in his hand.
A crowd of journalists awaited his arrival, before he entered the courtroom to sit in the dock. The host who became a star of the small screen when the M6 channel propelled him to the head of the show in 2006 Search for apartment or house appeared for “habitual physical and/or psychological violence by a partner” between 2018 and 2022 on one partner and for “habitual psychological violence by a partner” on another between 2021 and 2022, report our colleagues from AFP.

I have injured a number of people, even on film sets”.
As for the second complainant, the latter for her part specified that Stéphane Plaza had “changing behavior” : sweet words in the evening, insults in the morning… “Vieille pute! Baby!”he told her in particular when she carried out a breast augmentation to please him more, according to him. She also claims to have been bitten on a thigh and a shoulder.

At the end of this day of hearing which lasted more than 12 hours, the prosecutor’s submissions were made: Stéphane Plaza faces eighteen months in prison with a simple suspended sentence et a fine of 10,000 euros. This sum is intended to highlight the “financial weight” suffered by the two victims in a case where “money was a central element of the mechanisms of domination“. Stéphane Plaza to continued to deny outright all the facts with which he is accused.
The host of M6 aged 54, who was unable to appear at his trial in August for health concernsremains presumed innocent until the final judgment of this case.
