In a magazine interview Galaactress Zoé Adjani-Vallat confides in the unique relationship that unites her with her extremely famous aunt, and which evolves over the years.

It is not uncommon for Isabelle Adjani to talk about her relationship with her niece Zoé. The two women are actresses and seem to stick together in a profession that the first described as “quite cruel”, on the set of “C à vous” in December 2023. On display for the play Marianne’s Caprices by Alfred de Musset, under the direction of Philippe Calvario, at the Théâtre des Gémeaux in , from January 8, 2025, Zoé Adjani-Vallat, 26 years old, spoke to Gala on this very special bond which unites him to his aunt.

«She’s becoming a friend.”

If Zoé Adjani-Vallat has distinguished herself since the age of 16 on stage and in cinemas, it is impossible to deny her family name, which carries so much meaning in the world of theater and cinema. A common passion that only brought the two women closer together. “We have become close in recent years, since I have lived in Paris,” explains the 26-year-old actress. “We really like going on cultural outings and drinking tea.” But far from playing the role of a babysitter, the raven-haired actress and her niece actually formed a deeper and deeper relationship over the years. “We developed a filial relationship that brings sunshine to my heart,” confides Zoé Adjani-Vallat, who adds: “She is becoming as much a friend as an aunt. He’s someone I love very much.”

A transmission link

If the two women become closer through cultural outings, their profession remains their biggest point in common. And Isabelle plays the role of mentor to her young niece. In the columns of the JDD, on January 5, the young woman revealed some valuable advice passed on by her elder, now 69 years old. “You should not try to transform yourself for others. We never know what they want from us anyway. You have to keep your authenticity and try to transmit it as best as possible, without betraying yourself,” she confided. “In these professions where we play with things as vulnerable as the ego or desire, it is easy to get lost.”
