Those close to the founder of the FN continued by indicating that he had spent his last hours in an establishment in Garches (Hauts-de-Seine) which had admitted him several weeks ago. A breakthrough in 2002
As a reminder, Jean-Marie Le Pen was born in 1928 in La Trinité-sur-Mer, in Brittany. Although he served as a deputy and regional advisor, the French know him above all for his historic score in the first round of the 2002 presidential election, allowing him to advance to the second round to face Jacques Chirac. Finally, the left having chosen to unite with the right, Jean-Marie Le Pen only collected 17.79% of the votes and left the field open to his rival from the RPR.
