Actors Zendaya and Tom Holland are said to have become engaged, several American media revealed on Monday, the day after the Golden Globes, where the actress appeared with a ring set with an enormous diamond which she visibly displayed in front of the objectives. Tom Holland was not present at the ceremony.
According to information from the celebrity site TMZ, the actor proposed at Christmas. The 28-year-old Briton reportedly got down on one knee, “in a very intimate setting, in one of Zendaya’s family homes in the United States.”
“We’re told Tom didn’t want to make a big show, but rather a very romantic and intimate request,” explains TMZ. “Our sources say the family wasn’t there, (…) it was just a sweet moment between Tom and Zendaya.”
As of Sunday evening, the precious stone worn by the 28-year-old actress had ignited social networks, with many fans starting to speculate about a potential engagement. After the media confirmed the happy news, they did not hide their enthusiasm.
The two actors met during the filming of “Spiderman: Homecoming” (2017), a film in which their characters exchange a kiss, and began a relationship in 2021. Zendaya and Tom Holland are one of the most popular couples in Hollywood , even though they fiercely guard their privacy.
