The evening of the 2025 Golden Globes saw the crowning of Jacques Audiard’s film, Emilia Pérez, already awarded at . A consecration for the daring feature film, which addresses a delicate social subject, brilliantly embodied by its actresses.

Actress Sharon Stone kicked off the Golden Globes on Sunday, January 5, in Los Angeles. Emilia Perezby French director Jacques Audiard, was crowned Best Foreign Language Film. A feature film that the director describes as a hymn to hope, “an exhortation to keep your head high, to continue fighting”in his own words of thanks.

The film follows the journey of a Mexican drug trafficker undergoing a gender transition. A plea for tolerance carried by actresses Karla Sofía Gascón and Zoe Saldaña, awarded three other Golden Globes during the evening: Best Musical, Best Supporting Actress for Zoe Saldaña, and Best original song, co-signed by Camille. The film had already been rewarded at Cannes 2024 with the jury prize and the best actress prize.
