A new triumph for Anglo-Saxon comics. Less than a year after the Fauves d'or and the series FIBD were awarded to two comic albums, it is another English-speaking comic strip which is rewarded with one of the most prestigious titles among the awards intended for the 9th Art in France. So, a few weeks after being placed as a finalist for the prize BD Fnac France Interand not content with having already won the Prix Comics of the ACBD, Inside of Will McPhail achieves a new victory.
One more victory for Au-Dedans
The news has just been announced early in the morning of January 8, 2025. Thus, Will McPhail is awarded the Prize BD Fnac France Inter 2025, which allows the author to be interviewed on France Inter (we will add the link to the interview once it has been broadcast), but also for the album to benefit from a big promotion for Inside. Enough to increase sales figures – and allow an ever-larger audience to discover this excellent story. As a reminder, Inside follows the daily life of Nicka thirty-year-old unable to really connect with people, until the day a conversation with his plumber gives him a glimpse of what it's like to really discover people deep inside. What follows is a story where humor and drama mingle, with a tour de force in the power of the story and very good ideas for direction.
Inside is also in the official selection of the next International Comic Strip Festival (FIBD) from Angoulême and could very well win a Fauve. After the ACBD Comics Prize, the Booksellers Prize of First Print Awardswho knows where Inside will it stop?
