At the top of the international charts with his title My Best Enemyperformed with Stromae, singer Pomme now sees herself associated with American superstar Kanye West… much against her will!
In a video that has gone viral on social networks, the rapper actually moves to what appears to be a sample of the song Sun, sunby the young French artist. But Kanye West is putting the finishing touches to Bullyhis next album…
As could be expected, Apple was quick to react to this possible plagiarism in a message posted on Instagram on Monday January 6, 2025.
“An artist that I greatly admired”
The singer explains, in French and English, that she “never gave [son] agreement for the use of this sample for reasons which [lui] seem obvious”, emphasizing that she is “in profound disagreement with the political positions of this artist whom[elle a] yet much admired in the past.”
