It is a parenthesis of nostalgia that Marie-Sophie Lacarrau offered to viewers of the 1 p.m. news, this January 6, 2025. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of TF1, it brought together Evelyne Dhéliat and Denise Fabre.
The two icons of the first channel were present on the set today. And for good reason, they were both there, during the first day of TF1 broadcast on French television. It was January 6, 1975.
Evelyne Dhéliat with a TF1 icon
If Evelyne Dhéliat continues to work on the weather forecast, in partnership with Louis Bodin and Tatiana Silva, since then (she has held a permanent employment contract for more than half a century with the same employer), Denise Fabre had not appeared on TF1 for a while.
This figure of French television, announcer at ORTF, TV presenter, made herself known with her big blue eyes, her little hair on her tongue, and her giggles that are identifiable among a thousand – notably with the magician Garcimore. With him, she animated “So stay with us on Saturday” between 1976 and 1978.
The last time she presented something on TF1 was between 1994 and 1999, for teleshopping, in the show “Teleshow“. Denise Fabre also co-hosted “Intervilles“, who is preparing to make her return to France 2, without cows. In 1990, she rubbed shoulders with Guy Lux, Léon Zitrone, Simone Garnier and Claude Savarit. In other words, the pantheon of TV.
In addition to her activities on television and radio (on Europe 1), Denise Fabre also had a successful career in politics. Between 2008 and 2020, she was a municipal councilor in Nice. Close to Christian Estrosi, she ran under the UMP banner (ex LR).
The golden age of Denise Fabre
Denise Fabre (from Nice) celebrated her 82nd birthday in September 2024. Evelyne Dhéliat (from the Bordeaux region) is 76 years her junior. Both had fun looking at the archive images.
“How fun is that?declared Evelyne Dhéliat. “It’s fabulous, we haven’t changed“ added Denise Fabre. To conclude, the star also admitted: “Those were the years, years, it was my golden age and I really had fun“.
