“Seen on TV” is celebrating its 10th anniversary on RTL, like Laurence and Philippe: “We will still be here in 40 years, on the same sofa, but in a nursing home!”

So you left for 10 years, Laurence?

“I’m going to tell you a scoop about Philippe and me. We’re not gone for 10 years, but at least for 40 years! And you’ll find us, on the same sofa, but in a retirement home (smile )! Our sofa is really super comfortable at the moment, so there are no plans to change it.”

Do you remember why you accepted this type of program in the first place?

“At first, I didn’t want to participate in any show. Especially not reality , because I had been asked several times to do Secret Story and then the Reality TV Angels. And I always said no, I’m not interested. I don’t like reality TV. You should never say never. Here, I said no directly. And then, the person came back and told me that it’s a different concept: it’s your home, the teams come to your home, you don’t have to leave, you can be a couple and watch whatever programs you want. And then, I said, ah, I consume a lot of things on television, so maybe I’ll say yes, and we said yes for one season, and then, ten years later, we are still there, and I tell you that we will be in a nursing home in 40 years with the same show. We will do like Place Royale and other broadcasts, or The Extraordinary Gardenwhich lasts for decades.”

“There hasn’t been a divorce in ten years. It’s the love magic of ‘As Seen on TV’.”

These cameras, in your home, in your privacy, didn’t that bother you?

“As I had already worked in modeling, in lingerie shows, it wasn’t a problem to be very visible. The cameras, we adapt. But frankly, it didn’t have a big impact. It’s not really like reality TV, it’s not intrusive at all.”

But did “Seen on TV” change your life?

“Yes, it’s quite funny. Because whatever we do, wherever we go, we are recognized. So, if Philippe goes shopping, I follow him. I know he went to the bakery, and then in a supermarket. Because people say it. And if it’s me, it’s the same. People say: ‘ah, I saw Laurence on the train’, etc. funny. But the people are always super nice. They are adorable. In ten years, there have only been nice people who come to say hello, who ask for a selfie, or little girls who want to kiss us, etc. The people are really nice.

In ten years, no other show has approached you?

“And. It’s my choicewith Tiffany. An almost perfect dinnerAlso. I’ve been asked this three times. The Queens of Shopping too, but I said no, because we had to go to for a week. I work a lot. Reality TV, then, is no. The Angels and company, where everything is scripted, where clashes and arguments have to be provoked, that’s not really who I am and what I am. But another show that would be more related to my work, maybe I wouldn’t say no. My work is one of my great passions. Be a coach on a show, why not? I am a psychotherapist, so I would say yes. It’s an extremely positive thing to help people feel better in their lives and their business. Giving them techniques, methodology, etc. is something I might consider. The style concept Married at first sightwhere we give advice, but not another scripted reality show.”

A notable anecdote during these ten years?

“There are lots of them. But there was one that arrived not too long ago. And I thought it was so cute. I was doing my shopping and there was a lady of a certain age, who says to me: ‘I know you like sweets’ Because, sometimes, I don’t hide it, you see that I eat sweets on TV (smile) and she tells me that. She doesn’t know what to choose for her little girl. I like all candies, but I recommend two and then she says to me: ‘Will you keep my cart?’ And then the lady came back and she offered me the sweets. It was for me, in fact! She asked me what I liked best to give them to me.

Have you changed the way you watch TV in ten years?

“No, nothing has changed there. Even the sofa, it hasn’t changed! No, no, nothing has changed. Everything has continued (smile)! There are periods when I don’t watch it at all because I have a lot of work but right now, I’m watching it because there are Christmas movies and I’m a fan until about the end of January! these are Christmas films, only (smile)! It’s so cute. We know the ending, but as soon as we see the first images… I love this Christmas atmosphere, the snow and the decorations. I’m a fan, fan, fan of winter. , which is my favorite season, and Christmas in particular.”

Even though you can watch whatever shows you want, haven’t you watched something else out of curiosity?

, we never watch. So, we don’t have to watch… But one day, I wanted to watch Doctor Cat for the show. And I didn’t like it at all. I don’t like seeing animals die. We were filming, so I saw the cameras rolling, and I completely left Philippe alone with Tiffany. And I went to another room. I said, no, I can’t see that. I don’t watch anymore Doctor Catit’s over.”

Speaking of things a little more painful… In ten, there were new sofas, but also, unfortunately, some who are no longer here…and shave died. And shock for the family “Seen on TV”?

“Yes, because we had already seen each other, or we still see each other regularly. It’s still strange, when someone dies… We say to ourselves: ‘let’s hope that this year, there won’t be someone one who dies in the nursing home On the other hand, what’s great, let’s move on to the positive, is seeing the babies because there were a lot of babies who arrived. then marriages, then births or certain who bought their house So it’s really beautiful and what’s beautiful too, all the couples present in. Seen on TV are still in a relationship. It’s very rare! There was no divorce, they are still together. Everyone is fine. There is love magic on Seen on TV. We’re in the middle of Christmas, so we’re going to make a Christmas movie (smile)!”
