This Wednesday, January 1, fans of the Star Academy subscribers to TF1+ live were able to follow the stage expression teacher’s course with the students. They witnessed a very moving sequence where Franck spoke about his childhood like never before.
January 1, 2025 is not a public holiday Star Academy. After celebrating the new year at the Château de Dammarie-les-Lys the day before, the students of the class of 2024 followed Marlène Schaff’s stage expression course this morning. The teacher proposed a difficult exercise: after painting a canvas that represented them, each candidate had to show then explain their drawing. Franck particularly moved his comrades with his work. It showed a bright moon in the middle of a dark night. In the foreground, the young man has depicted a character who succeeds in hanging the moon with a rope.
“It’s too beautiful“, murmured Marine as Franck took the stage to present his image. “My name is Frankhe began. I’ve been singing since I was little. Some will tell you that I started singing before I spoke. It’s been thrilling me for a very long time. But it’s a dream that I kind of gave up on years ago. Today, I have another dream that drives me, which I barely dare to say out loud: I dream of winning the Star Academy.“Before explaining his drawing,”a metaphor” : “The moon is the image we have of the unattainable. The little boy sitting below is me. He is resigned to watching from afar what he wants most. The world sang to him that it was impossible, that he had to abandon his dreams, grow up, stop imagining things too far from us“, he confided. Then delivered a nice message of hope: “Here, the little boy, he is holding the moon with a string. Our dreams are ultimately not that far away. I wouldn’t have dared to dream of being here. And I was contacted. It was destiny that wanted me to be here. My victory would mean a lot. It would be a nice revenge. When we fight, the moon comes to us.”
Franck : “Talking about me is disturbing others, forcing them to carry my burden”
After finishing his speech, the one who was born in 2002 in Congo shared some memories of his childhood and could not hold back his tears: “I’m quite modest. And that’s how I was raised. I was always taught to take charge, not to bother others. Sometimes I feel like talking about myself is bothering others, forcing them to carry my burden. For me, the things I carry are heavy. Sharing them is giving that weight to someone. I don’t necessarily want that. I hope that by looking at this drawing, people will understand what I mean and by listening to me when I sing.“A lovely speech which will undoubtedly resonate with many viewers.
