Marcosins Ipupa, the son of the famous Congolese singer Fally Ipupa, reveals that he was unaware since his childhood of the scope of his father’s notoriety.
It was only as he grew up that he realized that his father is a real star. Like all celebrities, Fally Ipupa moves around a lot, but he manages to devote as much time as he can to his family.
“Personally, I think throughout my childhood I didn’t really realize the impact he had and who he really was.
It was really growing up, around 2018-2019, when I left to study in France, in a totally different setting, that I began to realize.
People noticed that he was my father, they talked to me about him, and that’s when I understood the extent of his influence and his impact on people all over the world.
Having a star father also means accepting that he is a little absent. But since I’m the eldest, I take the little ones under my wing. Mom is also there, and everything is going very well. In fact, it’s a normal family.
And to be honest, ‘absent’ is a big word, because he tries to be there as much as possible, despite his very busy schedule.”confides Marcosins Ipupa.
On December 25, 2024, the Congolese singer gave a sold-out concert in Ivory Coast at the Parc des Expositions.
In October 2024, Fally Ipupa put on a show in front of 700 privileged people for a private concert as part of the Francophonie Summit.
He was also at the Elysée Palace where he performed a song during the gala dinner for heads of state hosted by President Macron.
