More than half a billion euros, this is what the colossal amount of Arthur’s fortune would be

Another essential character in the show: the banker. Only he was aware of what was in the candidate’s box and could offer to exchange it for a certain sum, at several moments in the game. Nicknamed the “jackal” by Arthur, he had a “bad guy” role. As the latter only intervened by speaking on the phone with the host, no one knew his identity.

This Thursday, December 26, TF1 celebrated the 30-year career of the host, with the show “Arthur, the child of television”. During this evening, he finally revealed who the famous banker was.

Arthur would like to relaunch a famous game show: here’s which one

“I know who he is, he’s a friend of mine”explains Arthur in the show. “A super funny guy.” It was, in reality, a member of the production: Laurent Zeitoun. French screenwriter, director and producer, he has notably worked on films such as The Heartbreaker, Lend me your hand or even Untouchable. Facing the camera, he said: “I’m the banker of the ‘Take it or leave it’ boxes. Normally, I don’t exist, this is the first time I’ve said it.”

The banker even set himself a little challenge during each broadcast: find all possible ways to surprise and make Arthur laugh in public. “He did everything to me”adds the host, who has good memories of these moments.
