On July 2, 2025, Line Renaud will be 97 years old. An age that pushes the actress, singer and former revue leader to make arrangements for the future. On November 25, 2024, she was present at the Maison de la Recherche, in Paris, on the occasion of the annual distinction of the Endowment Fund bearing her name and that of her late husband, Loulou Gasté, who suffered from cancer generalized. Surrounded by Brigitte Macron, Muriel Robin and Claude Chirac, she highlighted her desire to see medicine advance. In her speech, as reported by our colleagues from the newspaper Le Parisien, she said: “At almost 97 years old, I see the end of the road. Soon I will no longer be here, but you will be there! With your donations, your strengths and your conviction.” Moreover, she will also always be there in a sense, since she plans to leave her fortune to research.
Very fit and always full of hope, the actress believes that we “never love life as much as when we are about to leave it”. And when she is no longer in this world, her foundation, named Line Renaud-Loulou Gasté and created in 2018, will receive a significant boost from her. Indeed, Muriel Robin’s sidekick plans to “leave everything” to medical research. Remember that every year since the foundation’s birth, a prize has been awarded to a researcher and their team. In addition, Line Renaud presents a check for 60,000 euros to help the latter in his work, and to advance science. (…)
