Anna Mouglalis crossed paths with Gérard Miller in her early days. The 46-year-old actress returned before a commission on the behavior of the psychoanalyst and filmmaker towards her during a meeting.
Anna Mouglalis testified against Gérard Miller on December 17 (24) before the Commission of Inquiry into Violence committed in the artistic and media sectors.
The actress met the psychoanalyst and filmmaker at his home in 1997 when she was just starting out in the industry. A meeting which would have been sponsored by the team of his “first film” at the time.
The screenwriter first gave him a “tour of his home theater”. “It’s normal to have confidence when you are sent by production to a screenwriter and you want to act in a film,” underlined Anna Mouglalis.
But his exchange with Gérard Miller then took a worrying turn.
“And there, he offers me a hypnosis session, which I refuse because I don’t see… And then I find the guy frankly not likeable,” she confided. “But he starts to tense up, become a little aggressive and say to me: “Ah well, what are we going to do? What should we do about this scenario?
The actress then did not let it happen.
“I tell him we don’t have to do anything at all. “Since it’s gone, it’s not worth it,” she explained. “To which he replied that he would therefore remove the lines from my character and give them to other actresses. I said to him: “So much the better.”
She nevertheless regrets not having “spoken to the director and the producer” about it. “I should have,” she simply admitted, remembering the other young actresses “18 and 20 years old” also present on the set.
“There are two young women, who, quite spontaneously since they realized that they had experienced the same thing, spoke openly in front of us,” she declared. “They experienced the hypnosis session and they experienced the attacks.”
