Lorie Pester became a mother for the first time in August 2020 when she thought she would never be able to give birth due to her endometriosis. The singer who rocked the child of millions of children gave birth to a little Ninathe fruit of his love affair with Yann Dernaucourt, Eddy de Pretto's manager. To Gala magazine, in 2023, she confided about her daughter who has grown up: “She becomes independent, dresses herself. But you always have to be behind her because my daughter doesn't know how to 'walk': either she runs, or she's on tiptoe, she climbs, explores… she's a stuntwoman!”. Guest on the show Dr Good ! by Michel Cymes, Lorie confided in an anecdote with her daughter, now 4 years old. A story that hurt the heart of the 42-year-old mother who had the opportunity to talk during the show with Christophe André, a famous psychotherapist. The one who will soon his return to the stage to celebrate his 20th career responded to Michel Cymes' call to discuss the ravages of screens and by extension social networks.
It is no longer necessary to prove that these can have a harmful impact on self-esteem and Nina, Lorie's daughter, seems to have already paid the price… While she had to get dressed, the little girl told her mother that she was “moche”. “My daughter, since the beginning of the week, no longer wants to dress normally. She tells me: 'But no, I'm ugly, mom, I'm ugly‘”, she began by saying with a pang in her heart. And Lorie continues her exchange with her daughter: “I answered him: 'But why do you say that you are ugly? You're cute as hell.' Suddenly, she no longer wanted to wear sweaters that she loved.”. She then looked for where this idea came from in her child's head and discovered that it was “a friend” who told her that she was ugly… Christophe André then confirmed to the singer that she had done well to comfort her daughter with strong words so that she regained her confidence. “You are part of the new generation of parents attentive to these questions”, he began by analyzing.
Lorie faced with a difficult choice
And to add: “In the past, kids had the same doubts but went through it in solitude. Being able to talk to your parents about it is fundamental. That parents listen attentively, put things back on their feet, console… Even if it doesn't work right away, these are little seeds that you plant for the future.”. Very close to her daughter, Lorie cherishes this bond, especially since she confided during various interviews that she could not have a second child. Indeed, in an interview given to our colleagues at Galain 2023, she indicated having had a hysterectomy after Nina's birth to solve his painful endometriosis problem once and for all.
She confided that the idea of this operation was difficult to accept even though she and her partner knew that they no longer wanted another child, “because we already have a boy and a girl”. The singer explained that she didn't really have a choice if she wanted to stop suffering because the effects of her illness were unfortunately not getting better… “During pregnancy, there is no more pain because there are no more periods. But after Nina's birth, they came back, and worse than before, it was reflected in my legs, in my back. I was so tired that I passed out. I felt like a pétanque ball in my stomach… Since the ablation, I've come back to life.”she admitted.
