Julien Lepers: “I know some who commit suicide…”, his painful confession about a romantic relationship

For almost 30 years, Julien Lepers distinguished himself in Questions pour un champion on 3. Now aged 75, the host is enjoying his well-deserved retirement. On Thursday, November 7, however, he went to the set of Chez Jordan on C8.

Asked by Jordan de Luxe about his romantic relationshipsthe father of Lorraine and Guillaume agreed to talk about a painful breakup that occurred 25 years ago. “I was very in love with someone and that someone left” he remembered. A brutal separation which earned him a “nervous breakdown”.

Julien Lepers: “I couldn’t get rid of it”

For at least a year after his breakup, Julien Lepers
went through depression. An event for which he had difficulty recovering. “I couldn't get rid of it anymore. The worst thing is when someone dumps you and you don't hear from them anymore. The phone no longer works, there is nothing, no one, even though you were very close for a few months. That's the most terrible thing, I know people who commit suicide for that” he confided.

If this situation can have dramatic consequences, Julie Leclerc's ex-companion has not never thought about suicide. He also forced himself to act to get better. He explained: “I had to apply a kind of protocol which made me forget this person more and more quickly.”.

Host denies homosexuality rumors

Long months after his disappointment in love, Julien Lepers
met his ex-partner again. “I saw it again, but in different conditions” he revealed to Jordan de Luxe. And to continue: “It hurt me so much that I didn't want to see her at all.”.

In the rest of the show, the one who denied having been affected by cancer spoke about rumors of homosexuality about him. He then revealed that this rumor dates from his friendship with Claude François. “I was very close to him and I think maybe it started from there” he admitted. For the host, however, this relationship with the singer never went beyond simple friendship. An essential clarification.
