“I had a double life”, the comedian recounts his infidelity and how his wife forgave him

And I hadn't known anyone else apart from my partner at the time so I knew that at some point… She told me: 'I imagine it's going to tickle in one place'” he says to put things in context before revealing that he succumbed to temptation: “And I actually meet someone and I have a double life for three months”.

An extra-marital relationship that his wife will finally discover: “ When I decide to stop with my mistress – because I had a mistress, it must be said – she finds out the next day and she leaves me.he remembers. It is at this moment that he realizes his mistake and tries to win back his partner, with the help of his manager, Aslem, a meeting is therefore organized in a bar with his ex: “I see my ex outside, his eyes cold. And it’s going very badly. She tells me that if I want her back, I'll call this girl. But when I tell him it's over, he starts screaming.” he remembers before confiding: “As someone who doesn’t like to be noticed, it’s horrible, it’s a terrible humiliation.”

Baptiste Lecaplain: how the mother of his children forgave him

After rowing to recover his partner with whom he already had a child, she ends up forgiving him. A few years later, the comedian decided to use this episode and make a sketch for one of his shows. He then asks his co-author, Florent Bernard if he thinks they can “do something with it”? “He said to me: “yes, because it ends well” and indeed afterwards, we got back together and had our second child. But he said to me: “On the other hand, you must not be gentle with yourself.”he explains while his wife practically discovered the existence of this sketch in the theater.

But for him the presence of this sketch in his show is above all a way of being forgiven and declaring his love to his partner.
