The greatest vampire saga
It is of course Twilight.with Bella, Edward and Jacob. You know, this story about a young girl, Bella Swan, who moves to the small town of Forks, and who falls in love with a boy, Edward Cullen, who is actually a vampire. As a reminder, the saga is divided into four volumes, written by Stephenie Meyerand published between 2005 and 2008. That year precisely, the first film adaptation comes to the big screen, and it's an immediate success.
After his role in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005), Robert Pattinson's talents are confirmed. As for Kristen Stewarther performance led her to be a true rising Hollywood star. In total, five films produced between 2008 and 2012, which garnered more than $3.3 billion. In April 2023, sources at Lionsgate, the films studio, revealed the current project of a remake, in series form.
Two young (but experienced) actors
Several months ago, the director of the five films, Catherine Hardwickehad discussed the future series in a podcast. She said she had no information about the project, which was probably on hold due to Hollywood screenwriters' strike. But asked if she wanted to see Jacob Elordi and Jenna Ortega play Edward Cullen and Bella Swanshe replied: “That would be perfect”, “he’s incredible […] She’s incredible.”
Aged 27 and 22(Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were 20 and 18), the two Hollywood stars each have a well-filled CV. Jenna Ortega is very popular thanks to the famous series Wednesdaybut also his films Scream. Jacob Elordi is recognized for his roles in Euphoria and the movie Saltburn. The series will be directed by Sinead Dalyproduced by Lionsgate TV studios, and will be available on Netflix. No release date has been announced, but we recently learned that it will ultimately be an animated series, which compromises the filmmaker's wishes. However, fans can still hope the casting of these two actors as voice-over actors.
