IN VIDEO: On the occasion of the film premiere The Piano Lessonthe actor and his almost entire family shared a moment of complicity on the red carpet.

A true family affair. The Washingtons reunited at the film's premiere The Piano Lesson in English) on Tuesday, November 19 in Los Angeles. A family project since the film is produced by Denzel Washington, and directed by his son, Malcolm Washington. His eldest son, John David Washington, shares the bill with Samuel L. Jackson. The opportunity for the entire family to pose together on the red carpet: a moment captured by the cameras of the Hollywood Reporter .

Denzel Washington was accompanied by his wife, Pauletta Washington, and his daughter Katia Washington, 36, as well as his sons, Malcom Washington, 33, and John David Washington, 40. Only the actor's youngest daughter, Olivia Washington, twin sister of Malcolm, was missing. They were joined by Latanya Jackson, the wife of Samuel L. Jackson. Everyone wore big smiles, and seemed to rejoice in this moment of complicity. The film, which is about a family quarrel over the inheritance of a piano (and therefore has nothing to do with that of Jane Campion, Palme d'or 1993), is available on Netflix from 22 november.

“Wine was my thing,” said the 69-year-old actor. But I never drank while I worked. I weaned myself off, then after several months of filming, it was time to drink again. And then, boom. I drank wine for three months, then it was time to get back to work again, etc. Alcohol had become a habit, which lasted for fifteen years.” The actor has completely stopped his consumption for more than 10 years, and can count on the unwavering support of his family.
