Julien Doré is preparing to release an album that is surprising to say the least. In Imposteur, available for pre-order from July 17, he offers covers and collaborations.
The man who became known in Nouvelle Star in 2007, for example, performs with Francis Cabrel Un homme heureux by William Sheller, tries his hand at Italian with Sara perchè ti amo by Ricchi e Poveri with Hélène Ségara and will reprise unexpected titles such as the nursery rhyme well known to young parents like him Les crocodiles, or Cuitas les bananas by Philippe Risoli.

The album features a duet with Sharon Stone who performs Paroles, paroles de Dalida with him, taking up Alain Delon’s part. The singer told Télé 7 Jours that the American star fell in love with him when she heard him live at a party at the Cannes Film Festival in 2008.
Since then, “from time to time, maybe three times in fifteen years, we sent each other messages via Instagram.” And when it came to finding someone to revisit the iconic duet, the Bichon singer said to himself “what if I wrote on Insta to Sharon Stone.”
“And it happened like that. I wrote him a message. She replied: “Totally!”, confides the 41-year-old artist. Julien Doré was “lucky that she came to participate in a painting exhibition in Berlin. We took a plane and recorded his vocals there. It was magical.”
