Finally a hope of seeing Kate Middleton again soon! In the midst of her ordeal, the Princess of Wales speaks in a letter

Friday June 7, 2024, it was very alone that Prince William attended the wedding of his friend Hugh Grovesnor, Duke of Westminster, godson of Charles III and godfather of his son Prince George, but also of Archie, the eldest son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The latter, whose fortune is estimated at more than 12 million euros, married a commoner named Olivia Henson. A love story reminiscent of that of Prince William with Kate Middleton…

This solitude, the Prince of Wales has unfortunately been forced to do for several months. Kate Middleton is suffering from cancer which she made public last March. In a video shared around the world, the 42-year-old mother of George, Charlotte and Louis announced her illness, diagnosed following a major abdominal operation at the start of the year. The Princess of Wales also indicated that she was taking preventive chemotherapy.

While many hoped that Kate Middleton would be able to attend the Tropping The Color event on June 15, Buckingham Palace announced that this would not be the case. King Charles III, also engaged in a fight against cancer, will however be present with his wife, Queen Consort Camilla. Despite her absence, Kate Middleton still wanted to personally send a letter to the Irish guards of whom she is the colonel and who parade for the last time before the big day next week.

Kate Middleton’s apology to Irish guards for Trooping the Color

I wanted to write to you to tell you how proud I am of the whole regiment in the run-up to the Colonel’s Review and Trooping The Coulour. I appreciate that everyone participating in Trooping The Color this year has been training for months and putting in many hours to ensure their uniforms and drills are impeccable. Being your colonel remains an honor and I am truly sorry not to be able to salute you this year. Please convey my apologies to the entire regiment. I hope to be able to represent you again very soon“, she wrote in this letter read this morning.

This “very soon” was enough to give hope to all those who are experiencing the prolonged absence of Kate Middleton very badly and some even go so far as to hope that the Princess of Wales will despite everything be present on the balcony of Buckingham Palace next week. An event which appears unlikely even if Kate Middleton is doing better as Prince William indicated to a veteran celebrating the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings.
