This Friday, June 28, was no exception to the rule and the journalist wanted to take an interest in the campaign currently taking place around the legislative elections, and in particular that which is taking place on social networks. Indeed, since their creation at the end of the 2000s, social networks have taken an important part in our lives. If initially their primary goal was to allow us to keep in touch with those around us, their use was quickly diverted to other purposes, including the dissemination of information. In 2020, the CSA was already concerned about the “propagation“disturbing”fake news” on X, still called Twitter at the time. Since then, things don’t seem to have really improved. And with the arrival of TikTok, the favorite social network of the youngest, it would seem that the diffusion of these “fake news” is even more problematic.
